Special Shapes Refractory Company is a major supplier of Gas Purging Plugs in the United States, and Canada, and offers a variety of sizes and styles for your operation. Additionally, we offer precast shapes and blocks in many different qualities, from low alumina, to high alumina, and spinel. We do work with Chrome Alumina and needles. Options on plugs and blocks include, plug caps, chill bars, chilling coils in assemblies, wear indicators, safety indicators, and grade 80 piping with Stainless Steel cans. We also offer engineering and purging gate systems. We can provide you with stock items or custom design a purging system for you. We are located in Bessemer, Alabama, and our lead times are usually less than 4 weeks for new shapes, and usually days for existing shapes. If requested, we will keep stock on hand for you at all times. Plugs are usually 24/pallet, and blocks are usually 6/pallet.
